Sal by Mick Kitson

An enjoyable read about two sisters who run away from their alcoholic mother and abusive step father to fend for themselves in the Scottish countryside.

Sal is the older sister who teaches herself to become somewhat of a survival expert by watching youtube videos. She stocks up on supplies and runs off with her little sister Peppa to see if they are better off in the wilderness rather than staying at home
